CITY OF BATESVILLE PASSES ORDINANCE REGULATING PARK
HOURS AT CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND AT RIVERSIDE PARK

The City of Batesville on September 28, 2004 passed an
ordinance closing the children’s playground at Riverside
Park at night due to vandalism.

During daylight savings time, the children’s playground
will be open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. At other
times, it will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily.

The Independence County Sheriff’s Department will be
enforcing the provisions of this ordinance. For any
citations issued for non-compliance, the fine will be
between $150.00 and $300.00.

Appropriate signs will be posted.
